Winter Time Fun

Over the holidays I found this cute snowflake muffin tin at Target in the dollar section. Alice seems to eat much more when I give her small amounts of a variety of things. Can you guess what she ate first? Yep, the marshmallows and pickles! She's a girl after my own heart!

This is a snowman craft that we did yesterday.
1. Draw three circles on a sheet of blue paper.

2. Trace the cirlce with glue and place marshmallows around the circle. Use pretzel sticks for arms and M&Ms for the buttons. We could have made the whole thing from food, but we didn't have chocolate chips for the eyes and mouth and candy corn for the nose. I have completely given up sweets, so I'm trying to keep most of them out of the house. We just used contruction paper for the nose and eyes and M&Ms for the mouth.

I can safely say that there was more eating than crafting!

I have decided to do the HyVee Triathlon on June 28th. That's 175 days from now. For those of you that are not familiar with the specifics, that is a .9 mile swim followed by a 24.8 mile bike ride followed by a 6.2 mile run. I feel confident about the running, ok about the biking, and scared to death about the swimming. It's not just that I will be swimming in a river with tons of other people who could potentially swim over me, but that I am a terrible swimmer. I'm going to check if I'm too old to join Alice's swim lessons! Yesterday I ran on an incline for 15 minutes followed by the stationary bike (with resistance) for 15 minutes and I am very sore today. I have a long way to go! I am meeting with a trainer on Monday to find out what this is going to involve. I'll keep you posted!

What a cute muffin tin! I'm sorry I didn't spot one like that in our own Target. I like the snowman craft too, thanks for sharing!
